Dale Power and Hannah Magowan make National Finals

After a recent win at the Regional Finals, Dale Power Solutions and Advanced Electrical Apprentice, Hannah Magowan are through to the national final of the 2017 National Apprenticeship Awards.

Dale Power Solutions is now one of the finalists in the Large Employer category and will be competing with 2 other finalists for the 2017 title. Engineering apprentice, Hannah Magowan who joined Dale Power Solutions in 2015 at the age of 16 having gained 11 A-A* GCSE's is one of 3 finalists who have made it through the regional heats to the finals for National Advanced Apprentice of the Year. 

Hannah, who is keen to be a positive role model to others said this: '' I am ecstatic to be a National Finalist. Its lovely to have all my hard work and dedication recognised and I hope to use this opportunity to promote apprenticeships as an excelleny alternative route for students who don't want to go to University.''

Mark Carter, Business Support Manager at Dale Power Solutions said: ''Hannah is now one of three finalists in the Advanced Apprentice category and this honor is well deserved. She is an exemplary apprentice at work and college moreover she is a great ambassador for Women in Engineering. She works tirelessly with young people in schools and colleges to promote opportunities in engineering and is particularly keen to dispel the myth that engineering is exclusively for men.''

Dale Power Solutions, Chief Executive Officer Tim Wilkins added: ''Our apprenticeship programme is central to the success and sustainability of our business so we are thrilled to be one of the three finalits in the Large Employer category. This is credit to all the hard work our trams put into developing apprenticeships throughout the business and in particular our apprentices themselves who proactively promote opportunities to young people to combat the problem of poor social mobility faced by our local community.''

The winners will be announced at an award ceremony in London on 18th January and all at DTA wish Dale Power Solutions and Hannah the best of luck. 

Dale Power Solutions have enjoyed previous successes at the awards winning Highly Commended Employer on 2012, Regional Apprentice (Natasha Pitts) in 2013, 2014, 2016 and Regional Medium Employer in 2014.
