Outstanding achievement for DTA apprentices in National Finals

Nine apprentices from DTA narrowly missed out on being named Apprentice Team of the Year at the National Finals of the Brathay Apprentice Challenge. We are proud that the team placed fifth out of eight teams in the Finals. 

The Finals follow a testing five-month Challenge, the team from DTA were competing against seven of the country's leading apprentice employers and training providers.

Will NYEngApps be crowned Apprentice Team of the Year?

DTA are pleased to announce that the NYEngApps Brathay Apprentice Challenge Team have made it through to the National Finals to find the Apprentice Team of the Year. Three members of the team; Alyssa, Kelly and Jordan were in attendance at the Houses of Parliament in London on Wednesday 17th May with Team Mentor, Mick Sopf with team's from across the UK who have also entered the Challenge in 2017.

All members of the NYEngApps team worked extremely hard attending careers events to promote apprenticeships as well as creating a practice cricket net for Westow Cricket Club as part of their Community Project.

NYEngApps a big hit with the cricket club!

The NYEngApps Brathay Apprentice Challenge Team have done a fantastic job with finishing their community project. 

The team which is made up of apprentices from a number of companies across North Yorkshire have entered the Brathay Apprentice Challenge to raise awareness on apprenticeships as well as improving employability skills such as team building and communication by completing a community project.
