DTA are pleased that in partnership with local colleges, further and higher education providers, university's and employers STEAM East has passed Stage One of the Institute of Technologies (IoT) bid to propose capital investment of £14m across the region.

Congratulations to Matthew Tindall of Dale Power Solutions in Scarborough who has won the 2018 BTEC Apprentice of the Year (19+).
He started his Advanced Apprenticeship in 2012 straight after completing his GCSE's and finished his Level 3 in 2015 to progress onto the first year of DTA's Higher Apprenticeship programme which he is due to complete this year.
All at DTA would like to say congratulations to Natasha of Dale Power Solutions, Scarborough who has completed her degree with a First Class BEng(Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Natasha celebrated her graduation on Monday and she was presented with the Walter Firth Prize which is awarded to the best student in the field of electronic engineering - another award to add to her collection!
IQ Engineers apprentices Liam and Dezhaun along with DTA's Business Administrator Alyssa attended the Industry Apprentice Council meeting at Siemens in Manchester on Friday 1st June.
Congratulations to Portakabin apprentice Jordan Layne who has been successful with his application to the Institute for Apprenticeships and will join them as apprentice representative.
The Institute for Apprenticeships is an employer-led body that ensures high-quality apprenticeship standards in England. Their panel of apprentices reports directly to the board and are all apprentices from different occupations and have had varying experience. The main purpose of the panel is to ensure that the views of apprentices are represented across the work and governance of the Institute. The panel decides for itself which issues to focus on and can advise and challenge the Board.
