'Budding' engineers help out local Charity.

The apprentices at Derwent Training have been utilising their 'budding' engineering skills by helping out an excellent local Charity.

Derwent Training announced Saint Catherine's as their Charity of the Year in October and have already raised over £300 for patient care. The team recently asked if we could bend some metal stems for their sunflowers that will be on sale to raise the vital funds they need to run the Hospice.

Sam from Scarborough-based employer William Hare made a great start bending the stems and we hope to get more apprentices involved in the coming weeks.

Saint Catherine's needs £5.5 million a year to care for their patients and we are pleased to continue helping them reach this.

To do your bit to raise money, you can sign up to Bring a Pound to Work Day on Tuesday 10th March, in partnership with Yorkshire Coast Radio. You can register your business here
