Derwent Training goes single use plastic free

Derwent Training are pleased to have gone single use plastic free from the 1st November.

This is to reduce waste and to do our bit to tackle the climate emergency around single use plastic.

All students are reminded that plastic cups are no longer available at the water machines and they should bring refillable water bottles.

How you can make a difference to climate change:

  • Use reusable shopping bags
  • Use plastic-free toiletries and biodegradable wet wipes
  • Refuse plastic straws
  • Use reusable packed lunch boxes rather than plastic bags
  • Recycle
  • Use refillable water bottles and coffee cups
  • Walk more
  • Reduce water usage such as turning off the tap when you brush your teeth
  • Use less electricity
