Mcains help to develop the next generation of engineers

McCain Foods Apprentices Jed and Tom with the donated equipment

AVT Pumps with the support of McCain Foods have kindly donated some equipment to help train the next generation of engineers.

Donated to DTA was 4 surge pumps, 1 ammonia vein pump as well as various spares and other parts. These have been donated due to McCain Foods redeveloping their line at their Scarborough factory.

The donated equipment will be used as practical resources for delivering the Mechanical Maintenance and Assembly units as part of the apprentices training programme. These will allow apprentices to gain experience in maintaining and assembling industrial equipment from which they will develop skills in fault finding, measurement and fitting as well as using different tools and following instructions for repair and maintenance.

Thank you to AVT Pumps and McCain Foods for their continued support. This support from employers gives all apprentices the opportunity to develop their skills towards becoming the future.
