Shaping the Future for Engineering at Open Evening

DTA's training centre in Malton was busy with budding engineers on Tuesday 6th March visiting the Open Evening as part of National Apprenticeship Week.

The evening allowed visitors to have a tour of DTA's facilities such as the Mechanical Workshop, state of the art Mechatronics Lab and Welding Bays. It also gave them the opportunity to ask current apprentices about their experience of being an engineering apprentice and finding out what great local employers are on their doorstep in North Yorkshire and what a career in their company entails.

DTA's Apprentice Council - DTA-AC - did a fantastic job as acting as guides on the evening and being available to answer any questions.

Thank you to AB Graphic, CPL Precision Engineering, Dale Power Solutions, Ellis Patents, James Fisher Nuclear, Ryetools, Scarborough UTC and Swinton Technology for coming along in their spare time to provide visitors with information. All at DTA appreciate the continued support of all employers.

DTA are now starting their recruitment for September 2018 - if you wish to apply please complete an online application form or for further information contact Howard Cooper on 01653 697698 or on howard.cooper@derwenttraining.co.uk
